Growing up in India, I studied Indian Classical music with my guruji for seven years. When I was fourteen, I had the privilege of moving to America. This allowed me the opportunity to share my talents and traditions. The minute I arrived, I realized there was a need for Indian Classical music and Tabla to be taught.
I've been a teacher for almost seven years and a professional performer for fourteen years. Teaching and performing is a true passion of mine and I hope to be an inspiration for the younger generation.

Here in America, there are very few Tabla classes available. This is especially in New York City, a city filled with culture and traditions from all over the world. This limits those who are interested or who wants their children to learn this classical instrument. I am proud to offer genuine Tabla classes in New York City and Connecticut.
Check out my recent feature in The Norwalk Hour, Connecticut Post, News Times and Houston Chron:
A classical Indian instrument for contemporary times. Milan Ganatra is at once a traditionalist and a progressive.

Tabla and Sitar performance in Queens NY for Diwali Festival.
Feel free to reach out with any questions, inquiries, or to get started with your first Tabla class in New York City or Connecticut
